If you like finding new music on youtube, but are increasingly frustrated with the influx of AI and having to try and figure out what you're listening to--here are a few channels I recommend!

if you like metalcore/hardcore/deathcore/????core you're guaranteed to like Lawnchair Youth. They upload almost daily, and you can know for sure their artists aren't AI because they're performing in a channel-owned studio space, or premiering a music video. Here are a few of my recent favs:

i went to a music store last weekend with a friend to see if i could find the new Magnolia Park album on CD (no luck :( ), and spent some time rooting through the discount bin. i stumbled onto a compilation album from The Vision Bleak, a gothic metal band that writes music influenced by horror literature and movies! I have been REALLY enjoying their stuff!

my favs off the album so far are:

The Lone Night Rider

From Wolf to Peacock

The Kindred of the Sunset

and they actually just released a new album last year, which i've already added to my monthly playlist!

if you're a fan of horror, theatrics, and metal you gotta check them out!

and a band i love, Ad Infinitum, just released a new album and a few of the songs are already stuck in my head even tho i've only listened 2 or 3 times. They're super prolific and put an album out like every year, so if you like symphonic metal and female vocalists that do their own screams i highly recommend!

i found this band i REALLY love, Deviants! i'm a big fan of their music, as well as their home-made music video aesthetic. it's a really inspiring reminder to make cool stuff with your friends and reminds me of a lot of the stuff my friends and i got up to in college!

through this song, i found another artist they collabed with i really love as well. Images Last lists Ice Nine Kills as one of their musical influences and i can totally tell--and i mean that in the best way possible. as someone who eats up theatricore and anything with a female singer i was instantly sold.
